024: Planning Your Rut | Brad Smith Bowhunt Downunder
Show Notes
Today's yarn is with one of the most experienced Bowhunters there is, Brad Smith from Bowhunt Downunder.

Brad has spent over 30 years honing his skills as a Bowhunter and has a wealth of knowledge hunting multiple species in varied environments such as Cape York QLD and the mountains in the southern parts of Australia.

Brad shares some incredible experience in planning for a successful deer rut including:

  • Reading the landscape
  • Wind and weather conditions
  • To call or not to call
  • Shot placement on animals in varied positions
  • Broadheads
  • Ambush positions
To sit down and listen to a person with this much knowledge in Bowhunting was a true privilege and learning experience for us here at the show.

If you are heading out this rut, this is the episode for you. There is over two hours of knowledge bombs in this one to help you execute a successful plan and succeed in putting that stag of a life time on the deck.

Brad is a ripping fella and we shared a few laughs of things gone wrong whilst out on the hunt.

This is his story.
